Right after Valentine's Day and before International Women's Day, there is a relatively recent but very popular event in France: Grandma's Day. Every first Sunday in March, grandmothers are honoured and we all love our grandmothers!

Grandmother's Day is a "very French" event whose growing popularity is beginning to arouse curiosity outside our borders.
Grandmother's Day is a relatively recent event, dating back to the 1980s. The event owes its origins to a brilliant idea from the company KJS (Kraft Jacobs Suchard) with its brand of Café Grand Mère. At that time, the coffee brand took the rather crazy gamble of "creating" what is now called a buzz. At the beginning, it was very timid, but year after year, Grandma's Day became more popular, thanks to florists in particular. This is a great victory for the brand, as Grandmother's Day is now officially included in all French calendars.
Which flowers to give for Grandmother's Day?
Generally, spring flowers and bouquets with yellow flowers are given on Grandma's Day. Tulips, daffodils and daffodils are particularly suitable flowers. It's the season, so make the most of it!
