How to care for a poinsettia?
The poinsettia is a fragile plant that likes the warm atmosphere of houses and flats for the end of the year. The main risk is thermal shock. The poinsettia likes room temperature, neither too cold nor too hot. At night you can put it in a cooler room if your living room is well heated. But during the flowering period avoid putting it outside.Regular watering with preferably warm water without letting the water stagnate, you can also add gravel to the saucer. Poinsettias are usually presented and planted in peat which dries out very quickly. Make sure that the soil is always moist. If the leaves turn white, you are over-watering, but if the leaves turn yellow, you are under-watering!
